Decision Science at Work: The Case of Latent Tuberculosis Screening
In this issue of AJKD, Campbell et al1 used decision-analytic modeling to investigate the health benefits and associated costs (or cost-effectiveness) of routinely screening for latent tuberculosis (TB) infection (LTBI) among residents of British Columbia who were born outside of Canada and who have late-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) or end-stage kidney disease being treated with dialysis.
