73 Cents: A Mural

I paint about patient data access due to our family's loss. In 2009, I created this mural depicting the need for clarity and transparency in medical records. This advocacy mission was inspired by the death of my husband, Frederick Allen Holliday II, who struggled to get appropriate care during 11 weeks of continuous hospitalization at 5 facilities. This painting became part of the national debate on health care reform and helped guide public policy.
