In Reply to ‘Urinary Excretion of α1-Microglobulin Does Not Predict Graft Loss in Stable Kidney Transplant Recipients’
We thank Bech et al1 for highlighting their abstract,2 presented at American Society of Nephrology Kidney Week 2014. They observed no statistically significant association of urine α1-microglobulin (A1M) level with change in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) in kidney transplant recipients sampled 12 months after transplantation,2 whereas we report a strong association with transplant failure in our study.3
