Conclusions: Despite promising improvements in vitamin E levels and the oxidizability of RBCs, the results of this study do not support a satisfactory antioxidative effect of vitamin E-coated dialysis membranes. Further studies are needed to identify antioxidative treatments for hemodialysis patients.
