Association of triglyceride-glucose index with femoral but not carotid atherosclerosis in CKD: A two-sample Mendelian Randomization Study
The probability of a chronic kidney disease (CKD) patient of having a cardiovascular event is higher than in matched non-CKD individuals. The triglyceride–glucose index (TyG) is a calculated metric used to predict cardiometabolic risk. This index is associated with cardiovascular events in CKD, but its potential relationship with atherosclerotic burden remains unexplored. This study aims to explore this association using Mendelian randomization (MR).
