Response to Letter to the Editor: Assessment of Nutritional Intake in Patients With Kidney Failure Treated by Hemodialysis on Dialysis and Nondialysis Days

Huang and colleagues1 highlight the need for studies investigating the nutritional requirements of hemodialysis patients. Since the greater availability of dialysis treatment worldwide,2 more elderly frail patients with end-stage kidney disease and additional comorbidities, including diabetes and cardiovascular disease, are now being offered dialysis treatment particularly in high-income countries.3
