Guidance on Care for Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease: A Patient Perspective
As people living with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) and their family members, we welcomed the development of the inaugural KDOQI commentary on management and treatment of ADPKD1 and the opportunity to share our perspective. It is crucial that all nephrologists (ideally all general medicine physicians caring for adults and children) are up to date on best practices for diagnosing and treating ADPKD. The reality is it can be difficult to find a nephrologist who specializes in ADPKD.
