We were intrigued by the article by Barraclough et al. titled "Carbon Emissions From Different Dialysis Modalities: A Life Cycle Assessment." 1 The authors compared the carbon footprints of in-center hemodialysis (ICHD), home hemodialysis (HHD), and peritoneal dialysis. Notably, HHD demonstrated a 41% reduction in emissions compared to ICHD when using the same prescription under different scenarios.
