Living donor kidney transplantation (LDKT) is considered the most effective treatment for end-stage kidney disease, but healthy individuals who donate may experience potential threats to their long-term well-being. This meta-analysis sought to assess the impact of living kidney donation (LDK) on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) among donors overall and among those at higher risk for negative health impacts.
