We thank the authors for their thoughtful comments and their shared commitment to advancing point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in nephrology [1]. The section of our article in question was meant to highlight the importance of longitudinal, competency-based training specifically designed for nephrologists. We recognize the value of the available resources, including the ASDIN’s certification programs - one of the authors (AKo) previously served on its POCUS certification committee. However, POCUS training is a rapidly evolving and multifaceted field, with a limited pool of experts, and it is neither feasible nor advisable for any single organization to shoulder its development alone.
