A confluence of innovative therapeutics and public policy initiatives afford nephrology an opportunity to pivot from managing kidney diseases to preserving kidney health. The Advancing American Kidney Health (AAKH) Executive Order1 set bold goals for kidney care, including reducing kidney failure risk, improving access to person-centered treatments, and increasing kidney transplantation.
