We appreciate the interest from Singh et al. in our manuscript describing potential benefits and challenges related to Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accreditation for Transplant Nephrology, which has been approved1 since the publication of our manuscript. Singh et al. state this is a “step in the right direction.” It remains to be seen whether this approval, increased administrative burden for Program Directors (PDs), and ACGME fees will lead to improved training and the thus far elusive dream of increased compensation.
