Emergence of Artificial Intelligence in Renal Nutrition Applications
Generative pretrained transformers (GPT) utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to create text. The information gathered from online sources is compiled and organized by AI into training language, which can then be used to create a response to questions posed. One type of GPT is dubbed ChatGPT, a form of conversation-based GPT from OpenAI.1 First developed in 2018, ChatGPT is now operating its fourth iteration and can now use audio and images to generate language.1,2 Such developments have wide-reaching implications for society and, particularly, healthcare.
