In the Original Investigation entitled “Low Birth Weight and Kidney Function in Middle-Aged Men and Women: The Netherlands Epidemiology of Obesity Study” that appeared in the December 2019 issue of AJKD,1 there was an error in the final paragraph. On p. 758, right column, final paragraph, the second sentence stated, “In contrast, for each 500-g greater birth weight defined using genetic variants, there was a 3.7–mL/min/1.73 m2 lower eGFR at middle age in a Dutch cohort.” The sentence should have stated “In contrast, for each 500-g greater birth weight defined using genetic variants, there was a 3.7–mL/min/1.73 m2 higher eGFR at middle age in a Dutch cohort.”
