Going From Point A to Point B: Changes in the Mobility of Older Persons With CKD

From the Standardized Outcomes for Nephrology (SONG) initiative, we know persons living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) prioritize the ability to undertake activities that provide joy, hope, fulfillment, and autonomy.1 Often called life participation, examples include socialization with family and friends, engaging in hobbies, and participating in recreational activities.2 Such pursuits typically require a certain level of mobility. Yet despite that such activities are a priority, we know relatively little about the trajectory of mobility in persons with CKD.
