Blood Pressure, Incident Cognitive Impairment, and Severity of CKD: Findings From the Chronic Renal Insufficiency Cohort (CRIC) Study
Hypertension is a known risk factor for dementia and cognitive impairment. There are limited data on the relation of systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) with incident cognitive impairment in adults with chronic kidney disease. We sought to identify and characterize the relationship among blood pressure, cognitive impairment, and severity of decreased kidney function in adults with chronic kidney disease.
