Fatigue is a subjective, multidimensional, often debilitating symptom that encompasses both physical and psychological components.1 It is among the most common symptoms that affects patients across the spectrum of kidney disease and is associated with poor clinical outcomes.2,3 Existing self-report measures used to ascertain fatigue range from single-item questions embedded within larger surveys to multiple-item questionnaires that capture different aspects of fatigue.4,5 Desirable features in a fatigue measure may vary depending on the context.
