Hypoxia-inducible factor prolyl hydroxylase inhibitors (HIF-PHIs) are novel, orally administered agents for anemia management in chronic kidney disease (CKD). We evaluated the cardiac and kidney-related adverse effects of HIF-PHIs among patients with CKD and anemia.
